Comment: I went into the Air Force in April, 1969. After basic training, I was assigned to March AFB, California. I was told that I was only the 2nd, ever, female air operations specialist (aircraft dispatcher). I spent one and a half years at March AFB and went to Clark AB, The Phillipines,(the busiest airport in the world at that time!), towards the end of 1968. It was the first ever WAF Squadron at Clark. The Womens Movement of the late sixties, made it possible for alot of women in military service, to enter into non-traditional jobs in the military. I would like to tell my story at a later date.
