Comment: I was in the Navy from April 1970- April 1973. I had basictraining in Bainbridge and was stationed at Naval Communications Command in Washington D.C. If any one was at either of those places during that time I would love to hear from them. I also went to Yeoman "A" school at Bainbridge.

Comment: I am a wife of a marine and I am a fulltime coolege student. I am doing research for a project for my english class. I have always wanted to join the military, but have always been talked out of it. I know that in some case and job areas women are not treated equally alongside men, this seems to be more true in the military. I decided to go with the topic for my research because I feel more people need to be informed. You site has given me a more detailed inside look at things i never imagined that happened.

Comment: When I tell my friends about me joining the ARMY, they often try to change my mind. They say that I would be wasting my time, while I can be in college, full time, to finish my career faster. Others tell me that once you are in, you are a number not a person. As I hear all these "advices" I simply try to understand their opion, but nothing would change my mind; I'm going to join the ARMY. I know I would suffer many calamities,but I'll get through w/ my heart and my mind focused on my goal.
