Comment: Unbelievable! I enjoy this web page. However, I was in the service from 1975-1977, I too, married a man in the service. We got stationed in two different stations, however, I can't believe the whinning that goes on. Nothing has changed in over 25 years. When I signed up, I knew I was in the man's army. I had much more to prove then, then the service woman of today. The year I entered was the first year they allowed women to qualify with weapons. We were told we could be clerks or nurses, and to be an Air Borne Ranger was out of the question. Please, if you join the service realize one thing - GOD, country, family, in that order!

Comment: I am a 20 year old college student, and am considering a career in the Navy. I have a few questions I hope someone can answer. First of all is everyone required to spend at least some time on a ship? I am taking legal classes at school to become a paralegal and possibly later a lawyer. I know the Navy offers careers for lawyers, but what about for paralegals? Is that the type of job I would be able to get into right after my schooling is finished? If not is there some other office type job I can do until then?
