Comment: I served as a WAC from 1950-1953 Had a wonderful time unfortunately at that time The army said "if the army wanted you to have a wife, they would have issued you one, so I married a carrer man and continued army life through him. Now itis incouraged, and rightfully so. I still keep up whith friends from my military days and would love to hear from fiends I have missplacedthrough the years.I do not thinking the merging of the sexes was good for either sex I liked the bonding of so many girls from so many different places.As for harrassment, I was always treated with respect, infact was treated by most as little sisters and protected weather we wanted to be or not. Hope some of our friends find me, don't wait too long, I,m already in my 70's.

Comment: I'm still looking for two of my friends from when I was stationed at Bainbridge YN"A" School and NAVCOMCOM in Washington, D.c. Their names are or were Abby Ovalle and Shelly Miller. Abby was TAD at YN"A" school from NAS Corpus Christi, Texas and Shelly was marrid to Richard Miller and she was an RM. WE were roomates at Ft.Meyer.
