Comment: I visited your site a year ago and was impressed by its purpose and design. The thousand+ signatures on your guestbook since then continues to prove that you've found a niche (Er, should that say, "canyon"?) that needed to be filled. I'm sure the number of visitors to your site dwarfs the number who sign the guestbook. Keep up the great work!!

Comment: I am elated to see so much about women veterans coming to life! So many of us have worked so hard in the midst of our foremothers and helped smooth the road for those after us. We deserve the recognition, the unity and the pride of our earned uniforms - just as any man does. God bless, give you strength to endure and thank you all - yesterday, today and tomorrow.......

Comment: I have written a movie screenplay and would like to include a woman in command of a Coast Guard Cutter. It is based on a true story and takes place in 1960 on Cape Cod. A friend of mine told me there was a female Lt. (j.g.) in the Coast Guard in Florida in 1960-61, and she commanded a 95-foot cutter during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Can anyone confirm this story ? My movie screenplay is a family drama with no sex, no violence and no foul language. A female Captain would add more drama and help the Coast Guard recruit more women. Any info will be greatly appreciated. I'm also looking for a producer and director, and I can send you a copy of my script if you like. Thank you sincerely, David Webster

Comment: I think that this website and the NOW website is a great uplifter to women like myself who has had to go through tough times with men. I have only been in the military three years an one month and have already made my Sergeant. Most males think that it's unfair because I am a woman I shouldn't been allowed to go so early. They believe that I was not ready to be in charge of them. We were all the same rank, some came in after I did, others were already in the military just pcs over to Germany. I am a 63J, and that's originally "a man's" field of work, so I was categorized as weak. I fought everyday with those males until I went to the promotion board, attended and graduated PLDC on the Commadants Lists, and got the leadership award for my class. Now they have to answer to me.
