Comment: I really enjoy Laughter in the military. More people should write in that section because if you're having a bad day, sometimes another persons experiences can make you realize that your day might not be so bad. I definately have some funny experiences. I think this web page is great!

Comment: Hello, I think this site is great. I served in the Navy from July 60 to June 62 at NAS, Washington, DC. I met my husband there. He served 5 years in the Navy. He drove the clothing and small stores truck. I am interested in finding our two friends who stood up for us when we were married in 1961 at the Methodist Church in Bowie, Maryland. Their names are J.B. and Gloria Clark. they were both in the Navy and stationed with us. Gloria's maiden name is Cochran and her nickname is "Corky" . The last we heard JB (Joe) had made chief and was stationed in Philadelphia,PA. JB is from Bowie,Maryland and Gloria is from either Franklin or Oil City, PA. Comment: I joined the military at age 34...yes bootcamp was quite a shocker. I am still in at age 46. I am a builder in the Seabees. The biggest challenge is keeping up with all the 20-25yr.old males. To my surprise, I am respected by these young people and I am not laughed at because of my age. This is a total change from my civilian life but I have to admit; I have seen many countries I could only dream about before. Go Girls!!!
