I am again serving as a volunteer at the Riverside National Cemetery. My husband I serve one day a month giving honors to those who have served our Country and gave much. I am proud be able to wear my uniform again. I would even more proud if I could wear the Good Conduct award, which I never earned because I had to leave the Marine Corps at the convience of the Government. Comment: I think a subject that needs to be discussed is the infidelity that runs rampant among the soldiers. How can their coworkers turn their heads and ignore the situation even though infedility hurts so many people such as the spouses, the children, the coworkers. The individuals that are unfaithful to their partners while on deployment, to such places as Kuwait, or even while at their home duty station are not held accountable for their actions.

Comment: I feel exceptionally proud because of the strides that women of the military forces have made and continue to make. I personally had to overcome a milestone in the State of Pennsylvania. I became the First Black Female First Sergeant in March of 1990. Served very well for seven years but not without a Officer telling my future boss that I would never be able to do the job. Being that my future boss was a fair man he told the officer that he beleives in giving anyone a chance to prove themselves. I worked for him until he retired.
