Comment: I just recently got out, i did four years active. I was security police, then law enforcement merged now we have security forces, they merged my last couple months. I have to say I do miss it. My husband is currently in. Its nice to see women in the military getting noticed, and supporting each other. You don't see much of that, usually it's jealousy.I went into the military a scared little girl, and came out a braver, stronger, responcible woman, with a loving and supporting husband. I recomend the air force to any young person trying to find her place and way in life.

Comment: I was on-line doing research on issues facing pregnant workers and came across your page on pregnant women in the military. I was quite surprised at the different opinions have about the subject. At any rate, I'm also a 12-yr Air Force veteran and I'm also a recruiter in my hometown. Any women wanting information on how the Air Force treats women or what to expect when joining the Air Force, feel free to drop me a line. I've enjoyed being in the Air Force thus far, but I must admit I'm seriously considering finishing up my 20yrs in the reserve forces because of the low pay. It's gotten to the point where local news media are doing HOT stories on military people on welfare--that's bad. Nevertheless, I will stay admit that it's a great place to start if you need money for college and the military does offer some great experience as far as training, travel and leadership skills.
