Comment: The 4 years I spent in the USAF, USAFSS, was the best 4 years of my life. Time of service was 1973-1977, spent 2 1/2 years at San Vito dei Normanni AB in Italy and at Dyess AFB, Abilene, TX. If I could do it over again, I would have stayed in longer. I heartily recommend the military (especially the Air Force) to any young person who is undecided what to do next with their life. The military will make you a better person, you will make life-long friends and you will be a part of many who have proudly served their country.

Comment: I was in the Army, 1974-1977 thus classified as a Vietnam Era Vet. I went to the VA Hospital to sign up for heath care. I was told that they were not accepting new applications unless it involved a service related injury. I am a Vet yet I was not allowed treatment at the VA Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Can someone explain this to me?

Comment: I would like to say that our healthcare is worse than the average civilians is. People say you don't have to pay but to be seen about something as simple as a hurt foot. You must wait about 2 hours and then you are not seen by a doctor but a physician's assistant. The first time you are given motrin and maybe crutches if you are lucky. It gets worse. Pregnant females do not recieve their first pre natal appointment until they are 12 weeks and civilians get it right there on the spot as soon as they are positive on a Doctor's pregnancy test
