Comment: This is a great idea!!! I think that alot of opinons and advice can be shared in helping woman in the military. I have been active duty AF for 3yrs. I think that woman should realize that just because you are a female in the military doesn't mean that you are given the world and that you should be treated any different than a male should be. There will always be exception for us and I don't agree with alot of them. Most men think that females are always given special treatment because of our sex and we are made to standout more for our achievements. Being a female, I see in the military it restricts us even more. A male can do any job that a female can but a female cannot do all job's that a male can. Combat, indepth special ops, etc. Any comments ???

Comment: I urge all to oppose SJ Res. 14, a proposed constitutional amendment to outlaw desecration of the flag. This legislation sponsored by Senator Orrin Hatch and Bob Smith cosponsor is an unnecessary intrusion on our civil liberties and a slap in the face to all veterans who served or died for this country. Our community is facing major pressing issues that need to be addressed. In contrast, the proposed flag amendment is the very definition of a solution in search of a problem. I sincerely hope and expect my elected officials to focus their energy and attention on our most urgent matters.I personally love the United States and its symbol of freedom, our flag. I've devoted more than 20 years of my life to U.S. military service. Serving my country from Vietnam through Desert Storm. When I entered the military I took an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States. There was no oath to protect the flag. Our flag is a symbol of true freedom known throughout the world. Its respect has been earned and not dictated. From time to time some people feel the only way they can make a political statement is by burning our flag. (I personally would not burn the flag.) But when I see someone burn a flag I thank God I live in a country that is so free an individual can make the ultimate political statement without recourse. This shows the strength of our country and puts our flag above all other nations. If we were to dictate respect by amending the Bill of Rights this would be a far larger desecration of the flag than any one individual burning it. Dictating respect for our flag would put it on the same level as the flag of China, USSR and any other country, which would Imprison its people for this type of political statement.Flag burning is a rare but powerful and important form of free speech. In fact, the proposed constitutional amendment would do irreparable harm to our right to free speech and undermine the very principles for which the American flag stands. Those who favor the proposed amendment say they do so in honor of the flag. But their proposal to unravel the First Amendment is spitting in the face of the freedom our flag represents - freedom that millions of Americans have died to defend. Please help prevent the desecration of our Constitution, Bill of Rights and our flag. DO NOT amend the Bill of Rights.P.S.We need your help in order to protect the Constitution of the United States our flag and all that it stands for. Please read and sign the petition at the link below.http://www.e-thepeople.com/petition.cfm?PETID=174082Pass this link to others and post it on your website.Thank youLin Fadden Jr.
