Shirley,ex-army,from Huntsville,Ala.Mary is a Huntsville High School grad. of 1968.She entered the army summer of 1969.She took basic at Ft. McMellan, Ala.,her A,I.T. at Ft.Sam Houston,Texas at---W.A.C.Det ,Co.B,4th Btn.,U.S.A.M.T.C. and finished up her training somewhere around Feb. or Mar.of 1970.She then got transfered to Ft.Gordon,Ga. Comment: I am twenty-two years old and currently serving in South Korea. I have been in the military for three years now. I was stationed at Moody AFB in Georgia for two years. I have also been to Ali Al Salem, Kuwait for four months. I know that I haven't been in very long but I have seen a lot. Some things that I wish I hadn't. I do enjoy military life. I like going to different places and meeting all kinds of people. I have made a lot of friends and it is going to be hard to part with them but that is part of this life. Comment: You're section on joining the military should be more honest regarding the physical examination at MEPS. The experience left me feeling violated. My recruiter was not honest about the invasiveness and the doctors were careless and totally unprofessional about my concerns. I almost feel that I was raped.
