I'm thinking of joining and I have loads of questions. Please help, thanks in advance.1) what are the sleeping arrangements in boot camp?2) What can I bring with me after boot camp? I can't live without my computer!3) Is it true that one is ranked by their ASVAB score? I scored in the nineties when I was 15 and 16, I'm now 18 will I have to take the test again?These questions are bothering me the most. Thanks again for any help.

Hi Rachel,**********Im glad to hear that you are considering the Navy, Ill try to answer some of your question.**Sleeping arrangements in Bootcamp could have changed a little since I was there,as there are now co-ed companies.**I sure they separate the sexes at night though. There are lines of bunks, each with a locker (open faced) with 2 drawers. Your military issue equipment goes here, folded and arranged specifically as directed. Im the 2 drawers there are some things that are yours that you may keep with you. All other personal belongings are stored away til you graduated from basic training. Sorry, I know it will be hard, but your computer probably wont fit in either one of those drawers, hehe...but its not that long and it will be well worth it:). Now, as far as ASVAB scores...most likely you will want to take it again just because you will probably do better.**The scores have to be a certain number for some jobs. I dont remember how the scoring goes but you can contact someone at the Navy Recruiting homepage. They would have the most up-to-date infor for you. I hope this helps some and please feel free to let me know if you have other questions.**Hopefully I will answer much sooner next time...I had some problems with my computer for a few days, and I hope that doesnt happen again for awhile, hehe:)!
