I went to boot camp a while ago and it was hard.**Since then the Navy has went to this "kinder, gentler, Navy" motto and everyone comes out with a smile.**The one thing that gets you through boot camp is to have your family send lots of letters.**Of course if you get care packages with goodies then make sure they send plenty for your shipmates.**It is not a good idea to get too much junkfood in bootcamp.**Bring some wallet photos of yourself and your family so you can reflect. Bring some SMALL travel size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, white panties and white bras, small tube of toothpaste, deodorant, paper and envelopes.**No weapons, no perfume, no pocketbook, no makeup.**You will have very little space for your personal stuff because you will have a very small locker. figure a sneaker shoebox is the amount of space you will have for your personal stuff. Keep quite in bootcamp, don't try to get anyone in trouble and try your best with eveything.**You will come out a new person, and in better physical shape than you will ever be in your life.**Good Luck
