Hi Jennifer,**********Its been a while since I was in basic**but**I**really think that as long as you can swim you will be able to meet the requirements.**As far as a the program that you are talking about , Im not sure but you may try checking the Navy recruiting site if no one around here knows for sure.**I dont know the URL butyou should be able to find it easily with a seach engine.**Good luck:)).******************** Sherry

normally I would recommend the navy over the army but in this case the navy wouldn't be an option, you have to be like 28 years old and it is either civilians who are already trained in job or retired military

: Oh so the navy doesnt have a reserves program? Just out of curiousity why would you suggest navy over army?? Thanks! The reason I choose the navy is that the recruiters were so nice compared to the army recruiters who were so desperate that they wouldn't leave us alone and were rude when we told them that we weren't interested.**The Navy runs a lot off of reputation too.**Most of the people who join are those who had friends or relatives join and say that they liked it. I believe the Navy is also harder to get into, they won't take anyone who doesn't have a high school diploma and I don't know if the army does the same thing or not but the navy guarentees you training and a job that you want. And I like the uniforms :)
