Hi everyone! I have a ratings question for anyone who can offer some greatly needed insight or advice. My recruiter recently suggested the CTO or CTR ratings and said per my interests and aptitudes, They would be great for me. I have recently found the BUPERS site which gives some information about them and I am very interested in making one of them my rating of choice. I am 25 and married with one child. I didn't know if this would factor in, but I thought I would offer it. I was wondering if anyone has some first hand experience in these ratings and could give me a little insight as to what the A school and billets are like. Thank You.

I am currently in Monterey becoming a CTI.**Do you by chance have an interest in languages?**If you do, the CTI field is the way to go.**Now, is it going to pose a problem being stationed on a ship since you are married???**I did and CTIs dont go on ships as often and are never permantly stationed on one.**Hope this helps even though it is not the right CT job.: Hi everyone! The thing is,**CT's work shifts.**If you have a supportive spouse or a good sitter, that's great, but realize you may be working while your baby is home.**I loved being a CT iun many respects but it's not easy for everyone. It's kind of a clique mentality.**On the other hand, if you value being part of a**somewhat elite group, it may be for you.**CT's (O branchers at least) work in climate controlled, albeit windowless comfort.**The hours are long, but the comraderie high.**There are probably easier rates in the Nav, but few more enjoyable. (assuming you don't mind the isolation.**Ct's have many isolated duty stations): I am currently in Monterey becoming a CTI.**Do you by chance have an interest in languages?**If you do, the CTI field is the way to go.**Now, is it going to pose a problem being stationed on a ship since you are married???**I did and CTIs dont go on ships as often and are never permantly stationed on one.**Hope this helps even though it is not the right CT job.: Hi everyone!
