Hi, can anyone tell me about the Cryptologic Technician Interprative field?**I was in the Army for a short time as a linguist, and now I am joining the Navy, and hope to go in as a CTI, but here's my problem.**I had to wait on a waiver from Washington D.C., and when it came back there was a stipulation that I must leave by 01 Feb 99.**As far as I know, there are no CTI seats available until May 99.**I really want CTI, but I really want the Navy too, can anyone give me some advice?**I go down to MEPS tomorrow, and hope they can get me CTI, but if not, they are telling me to go into the Seaman Apprenticeship program, and strike out for CTI.**I have the DLAB scores (127), and the previous language experience, and my recruiters tell me the Navy would be stupid not to pick me up for CTI.**I guess I am willing to go as far as going in as a Seaman Apprentice, then striking out for CTI, as long as I get back into the language training field.**Is anyone out there that can offer me any advice?Jessica

: Hi, first off all I have to tell you that I know many people who are cti and say that it us a terribly boring job but It is YUOR choice and you make whatever you feel comfortable with second . keep fighting to get cti if it is what you want if you go under something you don't like and sign the dotted line for it and get stuck then what are you going to do??? keep fighting for what you want and just keep stressing that all you will do is cti. good luck
