the scoop for anti-depressants?

Hi. I am getting ready to join the Navy reserve. Have wanted to be a sailor since I was a kid. But I just found out that there may be a sticking point with my taking paxil, an anti-depressant. I did a little research on this from the Army end and was told by a medic that anti-depressants disqualified you if you took them for a "personality disorder." I don't have a personality disorder. The meds just help me feel better when I'm depressed. So, can anyone tell me the real scoop and/or strategies for getting a waiver?
