I just wanted to ask for advice about joining the Marines.**I recentlyreceived my degree in biology and I'm thinking of joining.**I've alwayswanted to be in a career that would allow me to be a workaholic and make adifference.**However, I'm highly concerned about the physical requirements. I like physical activities, but over the past couple of years I've gottenout of shape and lost confidence in that area.**I really want to hear anyadvice from those that have been in the military (especially the Marines).

BUT, I went to boot camp at the age of 27 (almost 28) NEVER ran a day in my life (unless I was being chased, and I didn't get chased to often) I smoked a pack and a half of cigarettes a day, and they got me in shape.**I am now almost 31 and run 3 miles in 27:00 on a bad day, I still smoke down to about 1/2 to a full pack a day.**Don't lose confidence in your physical qualities or lack of, boot camp will get you in shape!!**Good luck on your decision!!
