View Full Version : Married with Children...and joining the Corps...ADVICE NEEDE

I am a 23 year old mother of two (one is 2 and one is an infant)**I've been married for 4 years, going to college part time, working full time. etc.**I have wanted to join the Marines for years.**My husband knows that if I don't do it, I will always wish I had.**I know this, too.**We are both ready to quit our jobs, and give is a go.**I have a great husband who is very supportive of this move.**I am scheduled to go to Parris Island in April, 1999.**I would like someone to fill me in on anything I need to know to make this work.**Also if you have a story at all similar to mine, I would like to hear it.**Thanks!**

I don't have a story similar to yours but, I also joined because I didn't want to regret not going... I never regretted and JOINED! I wanted to wish you and your family alot of luck and success, it won't be easy so alot of support is needed.**The best advice I can give you is to be prepared physically and emotionally.**I went to bootcamp Apr of 93.**Take alot of Avon Skin SO Soft because the sand fleas are HORRIBLE!!!**I am now out but, my husband is an active duty officer.**Good luck and my best to you and your family. I went to college, didnt like it, was married and had a good job and was still missing something, and the Marine Corps gave me that.
