Hi to the all the marine corps women out there!I'am reading some of these messages and I find myself in the same boat as many other women. I hae not joined the military yet, but I'amSERIOUSLY thinking about it. If I were to do military I want to become an officer, therfore I'am thinking about achieving that through the academy. I want to have a successful military career, and be an assest to the marine corp. However I can't join unless I'am joining whole heartedly. The only thing keeping me from being whole hearted about this decision is fear for my saftey, not in combat but on duty . I've heard MANY stories from people warning me not to join cause of sexual harassment and issues like that. I hear that it is extemely true of women in the marine**core. Is that true? I can't join if the whole time I'll be wondering about guarding myself, I want to know that I can trust my fellow marines. If anyone has any advice, or encouragement I would be very grateful.
