After a lot of determination and work, my dreams becamereality when I was able to enlist into the Corp.**I amdue to leave for Parris Island on 01 Dec.**I'm looking for anyone who is due to leave and this time to chat with.**I'm also looking for any advice from women outthere.Some words to people who are wanting to join theCorps. . . Realize your dream and make it a reality.**I have worked so hard to get to where I am now and I'm so happy that my dream is becoming a reality.**I cannot wait until I earn that title of Marine.Semper Fi,Carrie

Hi Carrie!Your msg took me back to 1976...when I was in your shoes...waiting to head off to Parris Island. The only advice I can give you for boot camp is....keep your ears open, and your mouth shut!..:-)**And remember...being out in school and on the job is completely different from boot camp.**I tell you this so you won't get discouraged.**Yes, boot camp can be hard.**But keep in mind that its only for so long.....:-)Do you best, give it your all, don't become waylaid....and the world will open up for you.**Semper Fi, Soon-to-be-Marine!Pam
