Good Morning Everyone...and I appreciate you taking time to read this.**I'm a young person(16) and I have had a desire to be in the armed forces basically all my life, and have just now come to the realization of it (suppression of the fact...because others weren't so keen on the idea as i am).**I am now needing to be informed about a few things.**I know there are physical standards for which i know i'm not up to just yet but i've got quite a few years to train.(I'll be joining the ROTC..going to college, ect.)**Now, i would like to know what physical standard i should be up to by the time i have to go to boot camp...and also some ideas on good ways to train..and maybe what you might have done.**
Another question I have is about sexual harassment...the moment my mother heard that i was seriously thinking about joining the armed forces she went into the kitchen (away from me) with my dad, and i heard her ask about sexual harassment...what a worrywart!**:P**But..I too, though not as worried, am concerned (i can ontrol myself (good quality for the marines, eh?)).**But i need some re-asurance for my mother..and father (for that matter).**Thank you for creating this site...it's the most informative thing on the web for women who are, or will be in the marines (and those who are retired from the Marines! :)
Thanks, Sydney~
