I am collecting stories from WAVES, WAAC/WACs, WMs, SPARs, WAFs and WASPs. You ladies really opened the door for the young women of today and tomorrow. You answered your country's call to sign on for "the duration and six months", and you did it at a time when independence and a sense of adventure were not encouraged in young women. Does your family know what you experienced during the war years? Please record your story to ensure that it isn't lost to your descendants or to those who are interested in the history of women who served. I accept written stories, will transcribe cassette tapes, or will do telephone interviews. There is no charge, and I will work with you until you consider your story complete. I WILL send you a copy of the final draft for your family, and will do my best to publish the collection.
