I have a question about dealing with depression and the military? I have recently been diagnosed with clinical depression, this has happened before, and am currently taking prozac. I will probably go off the medicine in February as I have never been on the medicine longer that a few months. Is this a problem I need to discuss with my recruiter?

Yes, majorly. You need to be OFF meds (for depression, ADD, stuff like that) for a full year. And you'll probably run into some problems with that diagnosis, though I can't say how that will go. It's an important issue for recruitment purposes. Talk to your doctor about this as well. Hope you can stay off the meds and well balanced!Best of luck. Hilary Hilary

I was off the meds for 9 years betweent the last time and this time. I only took them for a few months my senior year of high school. I don't go suicidal, I just want to curl up in bed and sleep.
