Operation Dear Abby
Mailing Addresses
November 15, 1998, to January 15, 1999
Since 1985, Abigail Van Buren, through her national-syndicated column, has brought goodwill and cheer to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. Each holiday season, she asks U.S. citizens to send cards, letters and parcels to servicemembers overseas. This has become known as Operation Dear Abby.
Those wishing to participate in Operation Dear Abby should address their mail to the addresses given below, not to specific units. The postal units involved will ensure equal distribution among the various branches of the U.S. military. These FPOs will close and the U.S. Postal Service will not accept mail for these addresses after January 15, 1999. To ensure mail is received before then, please limit your mail to first class and priority parcels only.
