are there any websites that have a list of the MOS where it also describes what you would be doing in that job?

This is one I can help with - thanks to Mon :-) There is a list of MOS's for enlisted on the web page: http://usmilitary.about.com/business/usmilitary/library/milinfo/blmarinejobs.htm there is more detailed info on these on the web page www.militarycareers.com Hope these help! If you can't get into the first one by copying the URL, go to www.about.com, then go to business/careers, then go to US Military, then go to US Marines, then go to the link for MOS for enlisted.
