It is nice to see that there are other women out there that have the same questions I do, but I have a question that I dont know if it was asked or not. I am currently enrolled in college, Culinary Arts program, and I am interested in joining the Marine Corps. I have always been interested in the MC and wanted to go for some time now, but when I was in high school somethings happened and wasnt able to graduate. Well to make a long story short, I have my GED and was told that I would have to have some college to get into the MC. Does it matter what kind of classes you take or what kind of college you are enrolled in? I am enrolled at a Vo-tech, I would figure that it wouldnt really matter as long as you had some college. If anyone can link me to a website about the Tiers and such please let me know, or if you are aware of this information it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Ashley,
I am proud of the fact that you are actually trying to do something with your life (i.e GED, Vo-Tech). As long as you have your GED and pass the ASVAB, you can join the Corps. I am not sure where you got that information, but it is wrong. If you have 15+ college credits, you are able to pick up the next rank, automatically. So if you are a Pvt, you would become a PFC once you graduate Bootcamp. If not, you would get PFC after 6 months time in grade. I hope this makes sense. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.
