Hi, I am doing a paper on the extent to which women can be employedin combat units. I understand the Canadians have gone a long way downthe path of developing ratios, (20-40% I believe)**I am looking forpapers or reports that have been writen on this subject to aid in my paper.Regards Gina Rasmussen

In the late 1980's, a task force called CREW (Combat Related Employment of Women)conducted trials and generally prepared those sorts of reports for DND.**Our first female General Officer, BGen. S. Helstrom was involved.**I am sure the reports are available, although I am currently unaware of their accessibilty to the general public. Requesting the information from the Department would be your best course of action, but it will take time.

Hi I was a female in the air defence artillery and I was medically release but I had a great time, even though the men didn't want us there. Only one woman left that I went through with, but we all stayed really good friends, I can anyswer any questons, just email me, I spent 4 years in reg force and 6 in the reserves.
