I was wondering if anyone can give any information on women who served in the Infantry (PPCLI). Any statistics, personal experience etc. Interested to know how many women and problems they may have face?

: There may not be any actual PPCLI women (as infantry) at this time.**Depending on regimental custom, all members of the unit (including support trades)may wear the hat badge.**The most likely source of women as Infanteers or other combat arms (if that is what you are after) is the Reserves.**This is simply a matter of time, as it takes only a few weeks to bring a new recruit onto unit strength in the Reserves.**In the Regular Force, the recruiting**selection process alone is a matter of months, while the trades training will take years.**It normally takes several years before a trainee is posted operationally to a Reg Force unit.** Depending on the information you are looking for, I suggest that the many women who serve in Service Battalions and other support areas could assist you.**These units have seen their share of deployments in the past few years and I suspect there a more than a few stories to tell.

Hello, my name is Linda Flores and I'm doing a research paper on women in the military. I'm doing a pro and con of woman in combat. I was wondering if there are any women in infantry or that have have fought in combat. I'm writing from the U.S. we do not allow woman in combat. Thank you Linda
