There are different types of strengths and toughness. Some of which you may not be aware of in yourself until you are tested. The only recommendation I have is that you be in good physical shape.Browse dnd.ca online and see what sort of job you are interested in.Then apply at the recruiting centre. You will go through initial training, which will make you cold, tired and sore. And test your patience. But that is what the initial training is for.If you want to be a pilot, then you must not wear glasses. Many jobs, other than dedicated air positions are tri-service.That means even if you wear blue, you could wind up on a navy or army base.Happy browsing and good luck!

There is room in the military for lots of people.**Good luck with your future.**I've been in the reserves throughout my university career and only just finished this spring.**Overall my time has been positive; don't let the media hype scare you away.

: hello.**I am interested in joining the military, but in all honesty,I know very little about it, or how to go about doing it.**I am concernedwith all the recent talk about harrassment and so forth, and am thinkingperhaps it would be a mistake.**I am only 20 years old, and almost finishedUniversity, and I would love to have a career in the airforce.**Comments, advice, suggestions, please share!**I am not a "tough girl" is there roomin the military for someone like me?Tough Girls, or men for that matter need not apply. I have happily served in the Canadian Forces as a soldier and as a sailor for the past 12 years. I have a Diploma in Corporate Communication, a BSSc and currently working on a Master's. And, I am not an officer. If asked who I want to serve with; let it be bright, ambitious, ethically concsious Canadians - anyone else need not apply! To get recruiting info check the Blue pages in your phonebook under Department of national Defence Recruiting, any local militia, naval reserve or air force units in your area and D-Net (the official Canadian Forces Web Site). Best wishes on your future endeavour.
