To Whom It May Concern, I am seeking information on my mother who was in the army sometime in the 30's or 40's I have in my possession an old photograph of her in uniform. On the back of this picture my father had written C-WAC which I take it to stand for Canadian-Womens Army Corp. Her name was Margaret Isobel McCanna. The photo that was taken is somewhat out of focas and as a result I can't make out the insignias on her collar or shoulder patches. My father and her were separated when I was 2 years old so I never really knew her. As far as I know she died in the 50's of medical complications and my father passed away in March of 1999. I never knew her family or anything about her except that she was once in the army. If anyone could tell me how to go about resolving this problem it would be appreciated. I've tried the public archives and military but they want information I don't have.
