I am interested (just recently started thinking about it) in joining the Canadian Forces. I have telephoned the recruiting centre but the guy there didn't seem over friendly and so I gave up asking questions. I would go in person but the office is only open 9-5 MF and I work almost the same hours and can't make it to the office in time. I know what I want to do but I don't know how feasible it is. I would like to initially get in and go to school fulltime for my degree (with the Military paying if possible) then work for a while then go back to school later to get my medical degree. I realize this is a long road for me, and I am already 32 yrs old! But I want to get into something where I can make use of any educational assistance CF can offer me.

Anyone here have any suggestions for me? I would definately go for it if I was eventually able to get my PhD, but thats asking a lot... too much do you think?

Just don't give up ok? The canadian forces need more people but they don't put a lot of effort in the recruitment process ;) Call back and try to talk to a female recruter, mabye she will understand better...I am applying to RMC and since september i've been in the recruiting process and now I am going to have a response in may. It's really long but I am sure it's worth the wait, for any program you are entering. DONT GIVE
