ATTENTION VETERANS AND SUPPORTERS OF VETERANS
· This petition is for Veterans and supporters of Veterans, who have acquired Hepatitis C while serving their country in the United States Armed Forces. For over 30 years 2,700,000+ Veterans have been kept in the dark on Hepatitis C.
· Some Veterans have been refused treatment at some of the VA Medical Centers across the nation because the CDC has associated Hepatitis C with illegal drug use, allthough this is one of the ways to spread HCV, there is over half of us that have never touched a needle in our lives, or snorted cocaine, or anything illegal in our lives. How does this explain the 50%+ that have Hepatitis C and never touched drugs?
Dear Mr. President,
Please help us Veterans get the in-service connection we have been fighting for over 20 years to get. Most of us are at the point where we can no longer wait for the red tape. We urge you to address Congress and the VA to get this achieved.
We have served our country and now feel like we have been handed a death sentence for doing so.
