I realize that I am from a different country (Canada) and things are a little different. Personally, I think if you can do the work, who cares what gender you are. During my training at CFB Gagetown, I stayed up until 3:00am with the rest of the group preparing for inspection and got up 1 1/2 hours later to run until we threw up on each other. We ran together, threw up together, did the same amount of sit-ups, push-ups, chin-ups. We slept the same amount, went to the doctor together and all got hurt together. I think the question should be, "Who is capable of being in combat?" and talk of individual requirements, instead of gender requirements. Because, lt'e be honest, there are as many MEN that can't do it as WOMEN.
