I am only 18 years old and I am currently a freshman in college. There's also one other thing...I'm also in Air Force ROTC. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to enter into the military. I chose the Air Force because of my aunt's influence because she is currently a Master Seargent in the Air Force. I chose to go into the military because I want to serve my country. The military defends the country. I have a right as a citizen of this country to defend it with my life. I get angry at the thought that I wouldn't be allowed to fight because I am a woman. I am doing a paper on women in the military and I am focusing on the topic of women in combat. I tell you what, it has been a learning experience to see how many woman have played important roles in wars dating hundreds of years back. From personal experience in ROTC here at college, I know I am physically just as capable as some of the men here if not more than some. I believe if a woman makes the choice to enter into the military, she should also be allowed in combat. Thanks for letting me give my opinion! And if anyone has any info that i could use for my paper, please e-mail and tell me how to get it. Thanks!
