View Full Version : Women In Combat

I seriously question the sanity of all those that urge the inclusion of women in combat units. The result of this will be a weakening of the units fighting ability. I notice that many active duty officers seem to advocate such a position. In their case I question not so much their sanity but rather their loyalty to their country. Any officer that advocates something that he knows will weaken the fighting ability of his service is not fit to wear its uniform. Any comments?

I have a comment. I am a female officer in active duty in a combat unit. I do the same pt test as my male collegues and I'm one of the best in my branch. I got my job in competition with others because I was better than those who didn't get accepted. So, if I didn't hold this position, someone not as good would be here. Conclusion: I'm strenghtning my units fighting capability. I have to say I'm sorry for the USA who prefer to recruit only men instead of recruiting the best to their combatunits.

Bill, try defogging your night goggles; there's something wrong with your vision and you've got the wrong enemy in your sights.**Women aren't out to ursurp your manliness, so there's no reason to be afraid.**The enemy's not within.**The issue isn't "letting women into combatant units".**It's letting qualified people in.**Your argument has been used to support racial segregation in military units, & makes just as much sense now as it did then....none.**Supremists in all races, sexes, religious convictions, (etc etc etc) have always argued that "different" means "lesser".**Wake up & smell the gunpowder,(or powder?) Rambo.**Sorry if it offends your "silly masculine pride" (to borrow your phrase), but in this decade people lean towards letting people do what they are capable of and qualified to do.**Accept it.**Be a man & suck it up.**If you truly feel you have some legitimate reason why women are inferior to men & shouldn't be allowed to serve their country in combatant units, let's hear it.**Otherwise, you just keep right on blowing your smoke rings in the bar.**The world's turning without you, and there's some damned good... and loyal.... officers who CAN see through the fog.

Bill, I hate to make personal attacks, but in light of your comment, I can't resist.**You're an idiot.**"H" is in the Swedish military, and they didn't lower any standards.**Have a nice day.: You got where you are because they lowered the standards. That is a fact! The reasons that they did so were strictly political and nothing can change this.I'm sorry if the truth offends your silly feminine ego but the truth sometimes hurts.******************************************** ****Bill**
