Hmmm, after becoming interested in this board and it`s topics , I see for/against reasons for women in military . And , most important , I see their source . 1) propaganda - or what makes public opinion , can be created based upon facts , or fiction . I mentioned it before , and I`ll mention it again . We can all see thousends of movies , or read books , or articles etc...... about women who are batterd , by men , less capable than men , phisicaly less conviniant for some jobs (such as some parts of military service) . Now , that`s why movies are called movies , that`s why in the end you can usually see** " this movie is not based upon a true story , all characters and places are fictitious , any similarity with a true person , living or dead is purelly accidental" - or something close to it . I`m not saying that all propaganda is a big lie , but , MOST of it is only a lie . 2) history teaches us that when ever some big armed conflicts (ww1 , or ww2) was created , boath women and men took their part . And now -this is very important- many FACTS were altered (or to say it simple-changed)in order to make a slight curve in the history . First , women are veterans too . Many women gave their lives in wars AS SOLDIERS , women from all around the globe . If you dont belive me , I`ll give some url , so you can read all about it yourselves . Women were also fighter pilots (I love that topic) , marines , infantry ... and were fighting together with men for freedom . Now , I`m NOT a feminist , and am not saying that all women will be capable of serving in the armed forces , but WAKE UP - NEITHER ARE MEN some kind of God given supermens . Now , today in US armed forces , this is a BIG stupidity , there are double standards for admision of recruits - that MUST change , there CAN BE ONLY ONE STANDARD for all (I belive that that`s partialy a reason for guys to laugh to the idea of females in combat and also in military in general - Am I right guys ?) , well to be honest , maybe I`d laugh too , but - NOT ALL ARMED FORCES HAVE DOUBLE STANDARDS-read "IT IS NOT ABOUT THE AVERAGE" posted by H . Another BIG stupidity (we can thank for it to #1 , or propaganda) - WOMEN ARE NOT WEAK , some are some aren`t , but so are men . (I really wonder how men would handle a period LOL) , also , men WAKE UP CALL for all of you who think you`re better simply becouse you`re males (good joke heheh) and look around you , take a good look around you and see all the women who (if not today , but very soon) will be your CO`s not becouse of some kind of protection for females in military but becouse they are qualified for those places , and also to those of you who`re even not in the army yet , (like Bill who`s idea was to use women like live mine detectors) , I dont know where you got those IDIOTIC ideas (should seriously consider going to psyhiatrist) , very soon you`ll find out from your own expiriance how wrong you were , women are not aliens , we`re all human beings , separated by gender for only one reason - keeping our species from dying . So , please use your brain next time and think before you write something idiotic , soon we`ll go into 21`st century , I can`t belive there are still those who consider women less capable than men , for all of you men who do , please use your (upper) brain next time . Things will soon work different , and together , women and man will fight in tomorrow`s battles . That day will soon come , so , face it , nobody even cares about your poor thoughts (it also goes for jigs) . Thank you for your time .******
