I am currently a sophomore in college involved in Air Force ROTC.It has been my dream and goal since I was a child to fly for the USAF.However, when I applied for the service in the Air Force I was medicallydisqualified due to asthma experienced before the age of six. I foughtthe disqualification and after 10 months was given a waiver to serve.Unfortunately, I am still not pilot qualified.****I have always been an active girl, competitively swimming for 12years and running 10-18 miles a week.**I have not been medically treatedfor asthma for the past 12 years and have fully grown out of anysymptoms or complications.**I am prepared to fight this pilotdisqualification to the end.**Flying in service to my country is mydesire and my passion.**I am asking for help from anybody who might haveany information on who to contact, who to write, and what sources areavailable to me.**If anybody has come across this same problem I aminterested to hear what has been done thus far.**Thank you - Iappreciate any and all information I can get!**My e-mail ishmckinle@mines.edu
