I talked to a recruiter that said that we couldn't join at the same time, because of our kids..I have never heard of this before..Is this their rule, law?**Just wanted to hear it from you..Thanks,Becca

Sorry to say yes it is true.**Only one of you would be able to enlist.**This is due to you or he who ever enlists would be world wide qualified.**And since the military does not allow single parents to join you would be considered a single parent if you were both enlisted.**The excuse they say is for family care which is a big issue during war time or any type of deployment.**I know it doesn't make sense if you were enlisted and so was he than you meet and got married it would be okay to have children the military any branch just does not allow single parents to join.**Sorry, but one of you can still enlist and the other would just be a dependent....I went through almost a similar scenario....
