I have heard that if you go through basic training as a woman you are more likely to be harrassed and made fun of and so on and so forth, but then I heard that if you go through the ROTC program you would come out as an officer and that would be better for women. I would like to know if that is true, because I may be able to go through the AFROTC program but I may not to obtain the job I want. I would also like to know if there are or have ever been any female hurricane hunters specifically weather officers. Thank you

I can't tell you anything about weather officers since I have no idea, but in regards to the other part of your post: I think that harassment, in a way, is part of basic. It prepares you to work under stress. It's not personal, it's more about your flight pulling together and working as a team. In my experience, women had it better than the men in that respect, but I am sure it depends on your TI. There is the odd case of sexual harassment at Basic, but this is very rare. If ROTC is what you want and you feel going to college full-time is the best way to reach your goals, then go for it. ROTC is a great program and can help you complete your studies and offer you a commission. However, don't choose ROTC just because you don't want to go through Basic. Enlisting will allow you to learn a job and will also help you pay for college, both while you are in and after you get out. If you want to enlist, don't let the first 6 weeks (less than 3% of the time you are enlisted) scare you off.
