facts and opinions needed

My friend is joining the Airforce in January. She is 19 years old, she's pretty, fairly smart, but insecure and most important - very easily manipulated. I've heard stories of the military playing mind games with their recruits, and plenty of stories of women getting sexually harassed or worse. I don't want her to get hurt or permantly tramatized from this. Also, a week after she signed the papers and swore in, she started to seriously regret signing up. Will this be good for her? Is it too late to back out if not?

: Thanks, Ryan Ryan, I am a female, I am in the Air Force and I have NEVER been sexually harassed or worse. I think you have the Air Force mixed up with something else. As far as your friend being insecure, she won't be after 6 weeks in Basic Training. Have her write me if she wants to talk about the military. I have seen almost every state and am currently overseas for 4 years. It will be the best thing she could do for herself. Give her support!
