Hi my name is Kathy, I'm 22 years old. For the past 3 years I've been thinking about joining the Army/or the Air Force (USAF preferably). Since I graduated high school, I feel I've not yet done anything with my life just work to cover my bills and that is it. I want to do something positive and useful with my life and what other way than to serve my country, at the same time I would like to get my education in process. My dilemma is once in the army what are the changes that I could get my degree at the same time. I'm planning to get in the computer field probably Computer Programmer. I would like to know how long is Tech School for this MOS and if the classes you take could be count at college levels. I also have many questions about the GI Bill how and when do you get the money and if I'm active duty and at the same time going to college how much of the tuition will the army cover. Also would my MOS as Computer Programmer allow me to attend college at the same time. I ask because I know there are jobs 24/7 and I'm looking for something such as Monday thru Friday 9-5 PM. If anyone has this MOS can please answer me these questions I will appreciate it very much. Whoever was able to finish college while on duty, and most important how is life after your term is served. Thank you.
