Now That You Know: Reactions After Seeing Pvt.Ryan

I just went to the bookstore and found a book that might be of real interest to those of us going into/ in the military. Most of us have seen 'Saving Private Ryan' and this is what the book is about. After the movie was released, there was a website where people could submit their feelings and thoughts about the movie, the war (Vietnam, Gulf and other wars), and those they knew who were in the military. Of the 30,000 submissions there are a hundred? or so compiled within the pages. Letters from 13 and 19 yr olds, new enlistees, veterans, family members, and those who have 'contra' feelings to the wars. Its a very touching rememberance and recognition for everyone who ever served, in and out of wartime. Tissue Tidbits!

All the proceeds go to the National D-Day War Memorial in Washington.

I have also read this book. I went to the new D-Day museum on Veteran's Day in New Orleans. I bought a handful of the books in the gift shop as they were only $3.00 each. I thought the book was excellent, and it helps those of us who didn't experience it to understand what really happened.
