I have an interest in joining the militairy, and would like to pursue the officer track as I have a B.A. in psychology and criminal justice. I would also appreciate any info on the Air Force JAG program, as one of my interests incorporate the law. Anyone out there with relevant information? Or about miitairy life in general? For instance, I love to run and work out,and I am afraid of the starchy and fattening food, NOT that this is my top priority, but can I run at leisure at all? Thank you for any ressponse. Deborah

NO branch of the military is going to frown on you for working out in your free time. :)

I'm Army and enlisted, so as far as your free time during OTS goes, I don't have an answer but my first inclination is to say that you can run and work out in whatever free time they give you (which probably won't be much). Once you are done with your training however, you are free to run all you like, in fact, I know of a lot of soldiers and airmen who run marathons in their free time and in some cases, are allowed to take PTDY (permissive temporary duty - they don't pay for it, you do) to allow the troops to pursue their marathon dreams.

All the best to you.
