I really wanna enlist in the Marine Corps buuut I got two things I'm a bit worried about. I got quite a few scars. Mostly from the average childhood stuff(falling off your bike, skateboarding, being clumsy, dog bites, and etc. etc.) buuut I got quite a bunch (I don't think they'd be visible in uniform)that are well they look bad they're nothing like self inflicted or anything but they probably could be seen that way (from a very bad relationship when I was younger...and stupider lol). Anyways I was told that the recruiters and stuff wouldn't believe me and they'd assume stuff and I'd never be able to get in. Is that true? I hate them and thought about getting a tattoo to cover the horrible mess but I'm worried that the tattoo would be visible and I'd be just as screwed lol. My other concern was years ago (because of previously stated "bad relationship" and another childhood issue) I got diagnosed with PTSD. Now before jumping the gun and assuming things. I don't take medication for it, I'm not psychotic in fact I'm insanely calm lol,I'm not homicidal or suicidal, I'm not depressed(I mean I do have my down days but who doesn't?), the worse problem I have is I can get a little nervous around new people and I do mean a little but I think that kinda makes sense for anyone. The only reason I was even "diagnosed" with it was because I had pushed out bad memories that ended up coming back to bite me in the ass when I was like 18 but like I said it honestly has no effect on me. I mean I'm not be as "emotional" as the stereotypical woman but since I wanna be a Marine that might be a good thing lol.
