Coalition airpower integrated with ground forces in Iraq and International Security Assistance Force troops in Afghanistan during operations Feb. 25 according to Combined Air and Space Operations Center officials here.
Air Operations in Afghanistan:
Close-Air Support
Konduz
Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews provided armed overwatch for several friendly convoys and ground forces. The convoys were stalled due to improvised explosive devices and aircrews conducted shows of force, some with flares launched, to deter further enemy action. One convoy requested a strafing run, which was delivered, ending enemy contact. All actions were declared successful.
