I have some advice. I was working in a maintenance field as a crew chief. I worked with all men and it sucked. I wanted to get out more than anyone. But, I wasn't going to let it get the best of me. I trained into a different job and realized that it is much better to just change jobs and scenery than to get out. Now I am working on my degree and plan on staying in until I retire. CROSSTRAIN as a first term airman into a job less stressful. Crew chiefs and cops have the worst jobs. I know.

I was wondering if anyone has a hard time in the military like i have. i am a

SrA McClean,

Security Forces, along with a number of other jobs, in and out of the military is a tough job and along with any job, comes stress. You need too weigh the good and bad. You say you love the job! What exactly is stressing you out? You need to dig down within yourself and figure that out! Second, fix the problem. There are so many avenues available to you. Take a stand and make a difference. I have been in Security Forces for 5 years. I have grown to love it and I've grown to hate it. When i weigh everything, I realize, its not that bad. I enjoy serving in our military, I love being a wife and a mother. I recently took a stand and spoke with my commander about getting mentorship from SNCO women on our base, McGuire. Well, that happened and it was awesome! Now i'm working on a basewide program to provide a support system to all Airforce women! If you want to talk privatly feel free to look me up on global, my last name is Tlumac, the only one! Hopefully I provided some kind of help!

Hey I think I know where you are coming from. I work in the fire department and I am the only female here. I loved my job but the people drive me crazy. I decided that I wanted to stay in the military but couldn't handle the same job. I am currently working on cross training into Mental Health. If you are thinking of changing your job, now is the time to do it. As a first term ariman you have a lot better chance than your next enlistment. Get out while you can! You don't want to be miserable when you are at work.
