Hey. I was just wondering what the whole deal with females not being able to do front line combat is. It's really starting to bother me. I thought we were past all the women are lesser than men thing.

I believe that it bothers any woman who signed that dotted line. Being at the front line during combat isn't the only place we are not allowed still. There are many jobs that the military has deemed as male jobs. The only thing you can really do is fight for our rights as women and wait. Eventually someone with political power will listen.

I was in during the 70's, I am not sure that it really bothered any of us. I saw many changes in women's roles during that time. I am saddened to see mothers with children sent to Iraq. I know many of you may disagree but if we have children- they are our first responsiblity. There are many reason a lot of people believe women do not belong on front lines. First of all - not all women can handle it- some do not work well in all that stress, thus endangering others. If there are women who really want to go- it should be evaluated case by case situation.
