Howdy! I want to post a message here because I feel I could possibly get a better response than from a recruiter. I'm graduating soon with an Exercise Phsyiology degree and have been thinking to join the Air Force to get experience so I could work at NASA one day. But I don't want to be stuck behind a desk either. I was wondering if there was anyone who could tell me a little about it, like whether you get to travel, job placement, if you work just with air force or other military, etc. I would greatly appreciate it!! It's hard trying to figure out what to do with your life after college! Thanks!

Check with a Bio Science Corps recruiter (BSC). You can find out who that is by asking any recruiter in your area. Make sure you ask for Health Professions, when you get to them, ask for BSC recruiter. I don't know if you are eligible for anything with that degree. Maybe they can help you. Is it like Physical Therapy?

Hi, You can work as an aerospace physiologist. I knew someone that the AF recruited just because she had a degree in exercise physiology. She taught fighter pilots how to prepare for high Gz flights and the centrifuge. Came in as a O-2. She then went on to become a PT with the AF paying for her masters degree. Easy job, and you have the chance of flying occasionally in fighters. After you get out you can work for Manned Test Support at NASA, they do the same thing as the AF. Working with altitude and dive chambers. You will also get hazardous duty pay for working in the chambers and centrifuge. Good luck and if you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me.
