: I leave for Basic Training or OSUT in June.**I am interested in hearing from anyone who has been through this program at Fort Leonard Wood.**It is my understanding that this MOS was opened once before to females and then closed again, only to be reopened again in '97.**I would also like to talk to any military personnel who have any advice on how I can better serve in a male dominated field or who have this MOS.** Also, anyone who has gone through OSUT at Fort Leonard Wood, I would like to hear from you about your experiences there.as a combat engineer you will be working with explosives, landmines,**rocket launchers and hand grenades.**The pop pop pop you may have heard on some old war movie can in no way compare to the concussion you will experience should you pass grenade training and be allowed to use them.**Anyway, why did you choose 12B best of luck and think real hard about your decision . oh i'll never forget leonard wood.
